ALV, Viva launch beauty queens into mainstream entertainment

Viva Artists Agency and ALV Talent Circuit officially launched a strategic partnership introducing a roster of beauty queens and performers expected to break into television, film, hosting and digital entertainment through the media giant’s expanding platforms.

The collaboration, described by executives as a “strategic alliance,” brings together Viva’s entertainment network and ALV’s strong foothold in the pageant industry to discover and develop a new generation of Filipino artists.

Introduced during the launch were Zia Ainhize Arboleda, Nikki Buenafe, Meridith Bobadilla, Beatriz Angela Ocampo, Tracy Maureen Perez, MJ Suarez, Carla Jane Torcido, Erika Marie Davis, Keylyn Pan Trajano, Alyssa Geronimo and Margarette Briton.

Many of the women have already established names in local and international pageantry before transitioning into entertainment.

Perez represented the Philippines in the 70th Miss World competition and finished in the Top 12, while Buenafe currently reigns as Face of Beauty International after besting 31 candidates in Taiwan.

Ocampo was named second runner-up in Miss Grand International Philippines 2025, while Bobadilla represented the Philippines in Miss Teen Earth International 2025 in India, where she also finished as second runner-up.

Trajano, meanwhile, made history as one of the first transwomen to compete in major female pageants in the Philippines and abroad. She is set to leave for Thailand on May 16 to compete in Miss Grand International All Star.

Speaking during the launch, Viva Communications Chairman and CEO Vicente “Boss Vic” del Rosario Jr. said the partnership stemmed from his decades-long friendship and professional relationship with ALV founder Arnold Vegafria.

“Arnold has been my friend for a long time. He was only 16 years old when we started promoting concerts together. We’ve worked together for years and co-managed several artists. I told him, ‘Why don’t we join forces instead of spreading talents across different groups?’” del Rosario said.

Del Rosario said Viva’s continued expansion into streaming, films and digital content created a growing need for new artists.

“We need more artists because we now have Viva One and our vertical platforms. We’re also producing more movies. When I auditioned them for recording projects, I also saw how well they sing and host. I told them we should go full scale with this,” he said.

Vegafria, meanwhile, said the partnership gives ALV talents access to Viva’s broad reach in entertainment and digital media.

“Viva is not only into movies. Viva is also into talent management and digital platforms. They were among the first to build a major digital platform in the Philippines. It’s a new age, a digital age. It’s about time,” Vegafria added.

Veronique del Rosario, president of Viva Artists Agency, said both companies share the same long-term vision for talent development. “Finally, I’m happy because this is our first real partnership. We are aligned with our vision.”

Viva Communications President and COO Vincent del Rosario said the collaboration will go beyond talent management and include recordings, films, concerts and other business ventures. “With some of the artists, we’re recording music. With others, we’re producing movies and possibly original series for Viva One or even television.”

“We’re also looking at concerts and other businesses where we share common interests,” he added.

Meanwhile, ‘Boss Vic’ also revealed during the event that Viva will open the VMX Club in August in partnership with Megaworld, envisioned as a large entertainment venue where VMX stars and performers can stage live shows.

“It’s a 1,200-square-meter club. Remember the Girard Peters shows before? We’re going to have something like that,” he said.

Executives from both companies said the newly launched roster is only the “first batch,” with more talents expected to join future projects under the ALV-Viva alliance.
