Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Immaculada Concepcion College (ICC) have launched a scholarship partnership that will allow young artists to continue their studies while building careers in the entertainment industry, reflecting both institutions’ shared goal of developing future talents on and off screen.
The first batch of Sparkle scholars includes Angel Cadao, an incoming Grade 10 student; Sabrina Cuervo, incoming Grade 9; Lauren King, incoming college; and Kayla Davies, incoming Grade 9. Additional scholars Kzhoebe Baker, Aya Domingo and Meg Montgomery were also welcomed into the ICC community.
“At ICC, we believe that quality education should be accessible to everyone,” said Marcelino Agana, president of Immaculada Concepcion College. “Through this partnership with Sparkle, we hope to support young talents not only in their artistic journeys, but also in becoming well-rounded individuals guided by strong values.”
The ceremonial signing was attended by ICC executives Marcelino Agana, Ferdinand de Leon, Paola Cambel, Elimore Abad, Marcelo Batiduan and Hazel Mea, along with Sparkle executives Jenny Donato, Vic Del Rosario, Tracy Garcia and Jan Navarro.
Sparkle first vice president Joy Marcelo underscored the value of education for young talents pursuing careers in show business.
“At Sparkle, we are committed to nurturing talents beyond their careers in entertainment. Education plays a crucial role in shaping their future, and we are grateful to ICC for opening doors that will allow our artists to continue learning while pursuing their dreams,” Marcelo said.
ICC offers flexible learning pathways for students with demanding schedules. Scholars may choose from modular learning, hybrid classes, homeschooling modules or in-person learning at the school’s Caloocan campus, allowing them to continue their studies while meeting work commitments.
The college also offers TESDA-accredited programs and free courses, alongside academic tracks designed to equip students with practical skills for future careers.
A Christian values-based institution, ICC said it aims to form students who are academically prepared while grounded in integrity, faith and leadership. It also highlighted its zero-based tuition for college programs as part of its effort to make education more accessible.
“With flexible schedules and a zero-tuition scholarship model, ICC is committed to making education accessible,” Agana added. “We want every student to have the opportunity to grow, learn, and realize their full potential.”
