MANILA, Philippines — Fresh off announcing their participation in Lollapalooza, Filipino P-pop group SB19 is expanding its global tour slate, confirming they will perform at Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026 this August.
The group revealed the news through a video released by Sony Music Japan, greeting fans and confirming their appearance at one of Asia’s biggest music festivals.
“Konnichiwa, Japanese A’TIN, we are SB19! Our Visa has been approved, and we are delighted to announce that we will be performing at Summer Sonic 2026!” the group said.
“We can’t wait to bring the energy of Filipino music to the stage and perform for all of you… See you at Summer Sonic!” they added
In a separate social media post, SB19 teased the announcement to its global fanbase. “A’TIN, where to next? Next destination: SUMMER SONIC 2026 in Japan,” the group wrote. “We are so hyped to announce that we’ll be coming to SUMMER SONIC this August!”
The back-to-back festival appearances signal the group’s continued push into the global music scene, as it brings P-pop to wider audiences.
SB19 has been actively expanding its international footprint following the success of its world tour and recent releases, including its latest single “Visa.”
The group will release its second full-length album, “Wakas at Simula,” on March 27. The release precedes “Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale,” scheduled for April 18 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.
