P-Pop group Bini announced an upcoming EP and concert titled “Signals”before a crowd of 15,804 at the “Signal Detected: Blooms Day with BINI” event on March 21 at Ayala Malls Market! Market!
The turnout marked an increase from the group’s performance at the same venue two years ago, when more than 8,000 fans attended the launch of their “Talaarawan” EP.
Composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena, Bini performed their latest songs “Unang Kilig” and “Honey Honey,” offering a preview of their forthcoming EP, scheduled for release on April 9, a day before their scheduled appearance at the “Coachella” music festival.
“You’ve been here with us since the very start. You lit a fire within us and every cheer is a signal for us to continue despite the challenges,” Aiah told fans during the event.
The group is set to perform at Coachella on April 10 and 17 in California. The festival will be livestreamed through its official YouTube channel.
“We’re bringing your energy with us — everything you’ve given us, we’re ready to share with the whole world, bringing our sound, our stories and Filipino music to a bigger stage,” Maloi said.
During the event, Bini also performed “Salamin, Salamin,” marking the 600 million streams milestone of their “Talaarawan” EP on Spotify.
Opening performances were delivered by Carmella, DNA and Fana. Video messages from several personalities were also shown in support of the group’s upcoming international appearance.
Bini also presented a teaser for their “Signals” concert, scheduled on June 20 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and on July 11 at the SM Seaside Cebu Arena.
The group recently joined the fan platform “Weverse,” where its community launched on March 16, followed by the opening of its Bloom Membership on March 19.
