Eman Pacquiao steps into wellness with discipline and purpose

At just 22, Eman Bacosa Pacquiao is learning that strength is built beyond the boxing ring.

Fresh from a fourth-round TKO victory that pushed his record to an undefeated 8-0-1, the rising lightweight boxer and Sparkle GMA artist has stepped into a new role as brand ambassador for IAM Worldwide — a move that places wellness at the center of his fast-rising career.

Announced on March 5 following his February 28 win over Indonesian boxer Reynold Kundimang, the partnership highlights IAM Worldwide’s line of barley-based health products, including Amazing Organic Barley Gummies, Amazing Pure Organic Barley Powder, and Amazing Choco-Barley.

Eman spoke about the endorsement during his solo press conference in Quezon City on March 19, where the focus extended beyond business to discipline, lifestyle, and long-term health.

For Eman, the pace of it all still feels unexpected.

“Panginoon lang talaga [ang] nagga-guide sa buhay ko… Biglaan lang!” he said. (“The Lord is really the one guiding my life… It all happened so suddenly!”) “I am super blessed.”

That grounding sense of faith has become a steady anchor as his career expands across two demanding fields — professional boxing and show business. After signing with Sparkle GMA Artist Center in November 2025, Eman has begun building his presence onscreen, recently wrapping scenes for the Kapuso series “Never Say Die” alongside David Licauco, Jillian Ward and Kim Ji-soo.

“Na-enjoy ko sa set… vibes ko silang lahat,” he shared. (“I enjoyed being on set… I got along with all of them.”)

Still, the discipline required of an athlete remains at the core of his identity — something that naturally aligns with the health-focused direction of his new endorsement.

IAM Worldwide underscored this in its official statement: “IAM Worldwide does not simply support promising athletes — we invest in their future,” the company said, emphasizing that Eman “embodies the discipline, humility, and relentless mindset required to succeed at the highest levels.”

For someone carrying one of the most recognizable names in Philippine sports, that discipline is not optional — it is necessary.

“The bigger the name, the bigger the sacrifice,” Eman said. “Because of the expectations, your effort has to be doubled. If others work hard, as a Pacquiao, I have to work harder.”

It is a reality he accepts early, choosing to channel pressure into preparation, and visibility into responsibility — not just in the ring, but in how he presents himself publicly, including the kind of health and wellness he promotes.

Even in his personal life, the same clarity of focus is evident. Despite being linked to Kapuso actress Jillian Ward, Eman keeps his priorities firmly in place.

“Kami ni Jillian, we are good friends… Naka-focus talaga ako ngayon sa mga pangarap ko at sa pamilya ko,” he said. (“Jillian and I are good friends… I’m really focused right now on my dreams and my family.”)

That sense of purpose extends to how he approaches success itself.

“I enjoy the blessings na binibigay sa akin,” he shared. (“I enjoy the blessings that are given to me.”) “I am trying to show Him that I deserve the blessings I am receiving.”

In many ways, Eman may remind the public of his father — from his voice to his presence — but he is deliberate in defining his own path.

“Manny Pacquiao is Manny Pacquiao, Eman Bacosa Pacquiao is Eman Bacosa Pacquiao,” he said.

And in this stage of his journey, that distinction is becoming clearer — not just in victories or visibility, but in the discipline he chooses to live by, and the growing understanding that real strength, like real health, is something built every day.
