Before GMA Sparkle artist Will Ashley became the newest face of Jack ‘n Jill Piattos, he was already one of the many Filipinos who knew the comfort of reaching for a familiar snack at home — during quiet breaks, afternoons with friends and merienda moments that somehow stay with people long after childhood.
For Ashley, the endorsement is not simply another brand partnership. It is also a full-circle moment built on something very ordinary and real: growing up with a snack he genuinely liked.
“I’m so happy and proud to be the newest Piattos ambassador, especially since it’s been my favorite snack since childhood,” Ashley shared, recalling afternoons spent playing with friends and reaching for the snack as their usual merienda.
That everyday connection makes the partnership feel natural for the young actor, who has been steadily carving his own path in show business. From his early roles to his growing onscreen presence, Ashley has found in acting a craft that allows him to step outside himself while understanding people more deeply.
“Acting allows me to step into the shoes of different characters and embody their stories and struggles,” he said, adding that being in front of the camera has become a space where he feels increasingly at home.
His time on “Pinoy Big Brother” also opened another creative side. Beyond the exposure and discipline that came with the experience, Ashley said the reality show helped him discover a growing interest in music.
“During my time in PBB, I developed a love and passion for music. Nakakatulong din that I have musician friends who inspire me and help me pursue this new craft,” he said. [It also helps that I have musician friends who inspire me and help me pursue this new craft.]
Still, even as his work and interests continue to expand, Ashley said there are small comforts that remain the same. For him, one of them is snacking, especially during his personal downtime.
“One of the reasons I love Piattos is hindi siya nakakaumay, I never get tired of it. I can easily finish a whole bag in one sitting,” he said. [One of the reasons I love Piattos is that I never get tired of it.]
Among the brand’s flavors, Ashley said Sour Cream & Onion remains his favorite.
“It always satisfies my cravings just like the other flavors of Piattos. I used to buy multiple bags whenever I hung out with friends.”
These days, the same flavor has become part of his me-time routine, whether he is listening to new local songs or catching up on his favorite shows and online happenings.
For Ashley, the story of his latest endorsement goes beyond being seen on a pack or in a campaign. It carries the easy familiarity of a snack that has been part of ordinary Filipino homes — from childhood afternoons to present-day pauses between work, music, favorite shows and the demands of a young career still finding more room to grow.
